Qualifications
The Mission Immersion intern must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a university’s bachelor’s program. Being able to demonstrate past examples of individual initiative, professional collaboration, and teamwork is necessary.
Job Description
The Mission Immersion Intern serves various roles in the life of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church including:
1. Managing Maxwell Street’s Mission Immersion Program - weeklong camps for youth held at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church. (Find more information here: https://www.maxpres.org/mission-immersion-camp)
2. On weeks when there isn’t a camp in residence, the intern will work with Maxwell Street’s Social Work Office.
3. Assist with a one week-long Maxwell Street Youth Mission trip. (Requires travel with the group to an out-of-state location. All expenses and travel covered.)
Work Days/Hours
This internship requires a flexible schedule and can include work on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the week. Typical weeks are approximately 20 hrs. Start date is Monday, May 30, 2023 and last day is Friday, August 4, 2023.
Stipend
Interns receive a stipend of $3,000.00

Responsibilities
- With the help of the Business Manager, program week-long Mission Immersion Camps for youth.
- Host Mission Immersion Groups by welcoming them to their accomodations, guiding them through their daily activities, and helping debrief their experiences.
- Work under the direction of Maxwell Street’s Social Worker to provide assistance to clients.
- Assist Youth Leader with chaperoning of a small Youth Group Mission Trip.
